Art competition
Our first this year art competition is now closed. The topic is:
The Real Wild West - paintings that show how the American Frontier really looked like in the eighteen hundreds. Depict prospectors, saloons, cowboys, Native Americans, showgirls, settlers, the first railroads, Mississippi steamboats, the Indian Wars, etc.

Weekly uninstructed workshop
Every Saturday afternoon we are hosting an uninstructed workshop where you may paint together with Lisa and other artists.
Bring your own canvas, brushes and paints, or drawing pencils and paper. You are welcome to bring your easel and stool, however we can provide you with a portable easel if you forget your own.

You need to bring the following supplies:
Drawing class:
Notebook for taking notes
Photo of the subject you wish to draw
Drawing sketchbook or pad, or smooth newsprint pad
Recommended: matching size tracing paper
Charcoal or graphite pencils with a case that protects the pencils from breaking
Gum erasers
Sandpaper and safety razor blades for sharpening the pencils
Drawing board with clamps to support your pad
Wet paper towels in a sandwich baggie for keeping your fingers clean
Oil painting class:
At the first class we will discuss the learning steps and make an exact list of what will be needed (paint colors, brush sizes, etc.). When you come please bring a notebook and a photo of the subject you want to paint.
In general the supplies would be:
