2018 first art competition and show
Our first art competition and show this year has been finalized. The subjects are:
Birds - small (max. 8x10) paintings or drawings of colorful birds
Presidents - small (max. 20x16) portrait of any of US presidents
Artist's Self Portrait - also small (max. 20x16)
Political Caricature - make laugh of world politicians with a cartoon drawing or computer graphics
New artists have joined us. Juried-in art will be displayed at the gallery between April 21st and June 30th

Weekly uninstructed workshop
Every Saturday 4pm to 7pm we are hosting an uninstructed workshop where you may paint or draw a live model.
Cost is only $25 for one three hour session.
Please sing up ahead of time - only eight slots are available.
Bring your own canvas, brushes and paints, or drawing pencils and paper. You are welcome to bring your easel and stool, however we can provide you with a portable easel if you forget your own.

Commission a portrait of your family and pets
You can pose live at the gallery or bring a photo.
Prices are negotiable and depend on size and detail of the painting (see the table for suggested prices).

You need to bring the following supplies:
Drawing class:
Notebook for taking notes
Photo of the subject you wish to draw
Drawing sketchbook or pad, or smooth newsprint pad
Recommended: matching size tracing paper
Charcoal or graphite pencils with a case that protects the pencils from breaking
Gum erasers
Sandpaper and safety razor blades for sharpening the pencils
Drawing board with clamps to support your pad
Wet paper towels in a sandwich baggie for keeping your fingers clean
Oil painting class:
At the first class we will discuss the learning steps and make an exact list of what will be needed (paint colors, brush sizes, etc.). When you come please bring a notebook and a photo of the subject you want to paint.
